AEW: United Empire to collide with Death Triangle on Dynamite

The third quarter-final match of the AEW Trios Championship tournament sees a dream match between NJPW and United Empire’s Will Ospreay and Aussie Open as they take on the reformed Death Triangle.

Since winning the AEW All-Atlantic Championship at Forbidden Door, Pac hasn’t been a regular on AEW television due to his commitments to defending his championship worldwide.

In the meantime, Rey Fenix and Penta have had a run in with La Faccion Ingobernable’s Rush and Andrade El Idolo.

The rivalry between Rush and Andrade is far from over. However, their sights are set on adding more gold to Death Triangle.

Nonetheless, they will have to face formidable opponents, as the Forbidden Door is unlocked once again as the United Empire re-emerge into AEW territory.

These two trios colliding is a dream match in itself and demonstrates the standards of the tournament. The result of the match could lead to an all-British All-Atlantic Championship feud between Ospreay and the Champion Pac.

Since Forbidden Door, the United Empire has had a rollercoaster of a timeline. Firstly, Will Ospreay finally got his clutches on the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship after beating Bullet Club’s Juice Robinson, and the Kingpin of the United Empire also reached the final of the prestigious G1 Climax 32, where he faced off with The Rainmaker Kazuchika Okada.

Ospreay fell short, losing to Okada after a hard-fought battle.

However, he will be looking to rectify his loss and capture trios gold alongside Aussie Open.

If Ospreay and Aussie Open win the trios tournament, Ospreay will hold three championships across three different promotions.

The winner of this match will go on to face the reunited ELITE of The Young Bucks and the retuning Kenny
