Adam Thomas fans say 'there's no way' as he's reunited with 'favourite' Waterloo Road co-star

Adam Thomas has left Waterloo Road fans in a spin as he reunited with one of his former co-stars. The actor has recently been filming new episodes of the BBC One school drama following its reboot last year.

Manchester-born Adam, 35, has reprised the role of former bad boy pupil-turned-doting dad Donte Charles in the series alongside his real-life son and niece - Teddy and Scarlett Thomas - playing his on-screen children.

But there was tragedy in the opening episode of its comeback when Donte's wife Chlo Charles, played by Katie Griffiths, tragically died leaving Donte a widow and a single dad. Things have improved for Donte with him getting a job at his children's school and has more recently struck up a romance with school cook Nicky Walters, played by Kym Marsh.

But back to Adam's reunion and the former Emmerdale star took to Instagram on Saturday (May 11) with a beaming selfie of himself and actor Jason Done who fans of Waterloo Road will remember for playing beloved teacher Tom Clarkson, who was also Chlo's guardian following the death of Izzie Redpath.

In series 8, after going up to the roof, he noticed Kyle Stack was about to jump. Tom talked to Kyle about a new start at the school and eventually convinced him to come down. The roof was slippery and when Tom grabbed Kyle's hand, Kyle slipped forward and knocked Tom off the roof by accident. Tom fell off the roof, resulting in his tragic death surrounded by staff and pupils of Waterloo Road.
