Tyson Fury told he needs a nutritionist after unveiling new look for Oleksandr Usky fight

Four-time world champion Carl Froch has expressed his concern at Tyson Fury's lean physique ahead of his undisputed heavyweight world title fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

The Gypsy King will aim to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999 when he puts his WBC belt on the line against Usyk in Saudi Arabia on May 18.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday morning, seven days out from his rescheduled bout with the Ukrainian - who holds the WBA, IBF and WBO titles, 35-year-old Fury uploaded a series of photos showing an incredibly lean physique with the caption: "I’m ready. Lets rock and roll!".

However, Froch believes that shredding so much weight, after Fury weighed in at a career-high 277 pounds for his last fight against Francis Ngannou in October, could weaken his chances of defeating Usyk.

"I'm not sure if it is a good thing, to be honest," said Froch. "That weight allowed him to bully Deontay Wilder, lean on him, tie him up and just have his own way. When it gets on top for Fury, when he's under pressure, he's able to sit back, get hold of the back of his opponent's neck, lean on him and use his body weight to get himself out of trouble.

"So maybe the nutritionist needs to step in and say, right, get some more red meat down here. Get some more protein down you and do some weight resistance exercises."

Both heavyweight fighters will put their unbeaten records on the line at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh next weekend, with Fury boasting 34 wins from 35 fights. The only time the Wythenshawe-born fighter has failed to beat an opponent
