Aberdeen have five live next manager options and one boss with Premier League experience declares interest

Aberdeen have begun the search for a new manager after they axed Stephen Glass at the weekend.

Former Hibs boss Jack Ross and St Mirren’s Jim Goodwin are both being considered, although they have since had a number of applicants that are also appealing and are now in the running.

Dave Cormack met with director of football Steven Gunn and there are potentially four to six live options to consider.

The interview process is set to be ramped up over the next 48 to 72 hours, and former Hibs boss Ross has already declared his interest.

He wants an immediate return after being sacked at Easter Road after a poor start to this season, despite leading them to third spot and the Scottish Cup final.
