Aberdeen 2024 AGM LIVE as attentions turn to transfers and THE Miovski question is asked

Aberdeen shareholders will convene at Pittodrie tonight for the club's annual general meeting - and a range of topics and questions are sure to be put to chairman Dave Cormack and the rest of the board.

Jimmy Thelin has made a fine start to life in the dugout, and despite the downturn in results they have suffered in recent weeks, the Dons remain two points clear of Rangers in second spot in the Premiership - although they have played a game more than the men from Ibrox. Aberdeen suffered a humiliating 6-0 defeat to Celtic at Hampden in the last four of the Premier Sports Cup last month but will continue their quest to end their long trophy drought when they take on Elgin City in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup in the new year.

Things are also looking rosy for the Reds off the pitch, after they announced a record turnover of £23.6 million and a loss of £900,000 last month. However those figures do not include the club record fee of £6.8million banked from the sale of Bojan Miovski to Girona last summer, which will fall into next year's accounts.

And with a large chunk of that fee yet to be spent, Aberdeen shareholders will be keen to put the hierarchy on the spot about strengthening the squad in the upcoming January transfer window. Questions are also likely to be asked about trio Duk, Jack MacKenzie and Jamie McGrath who are all into the final six months of their contracts in the Granite City.

Plans for a proposed new stadium on Aberdeen's beachfront have stalled, but fans will also be desperate to hear any news on relocation that has been promised for decades but has so far come to nothing.
