Abada and Maeda hand Celtic double injury boost as crocked pair BACK in training ahead of Hibs clash

Celtic have been handed a double injury boost with Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda both back in training ahead of Wednesday's clash with Hibs.

Brendan Rodgers has been without Abada since early September having not played since the 1-0 win over Rangers with a serious thigh injury. Maeda's absence hasn't been as long-term but a knee injury sustained last month was expected to keep him out until Christmas. However speaking ahead of Hibs' trip to Glasgow, Rodgers confirmed both are back on the grass. It's expected Maeda will be the first of the pair to return both both could be in contention for a packed schedule which sees them play eight games between now and the winter break which commences on January 3.

Rodgers also confirmed Luis Palma's knock picked up against St Johnstone is nothing serious and he is in contention to start again against Hibs. The Celtic boss will be looking for another response from his troops after he confessed his rage at their first-half performance against St Johnstone at the weekend. More to follow...
