Aaron Rodgers: Stadium erupts after he throws first TD pass in London

Aaron Rodgers was treated to an incredible reception by fans inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Green Bay Packers became the 32nd – and last – NFL side to play in London when they travelled across the Atlantic Ocean to take on New York Giants.

The stands were filled with green shirts and they went wild when the NFC north outfit made their way onto the pitch.

Packers’ starting offense were announced to the crowd one by one before the game.

The likes of LT David Bakhtari, RB Aaron Jones and WR Allen Lazard were given warm receptions as their names were read out and they took to the field.

But those inside the stadium truly went wild when Rodgers – one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game – made his way onto the turf.

The reception he was given was deafening and you can view it below…

It didn’t take long for Rodgers to get into his groove in north London.

Rodgers failed to connect with Randall Cobb for his first throw of the game, but his next attempt was a thing of beauty.

Rodgers found himself under pressure and was forced to leave the pocket.

It looked as if the 38-year-old would pick up a few yards on the ground but he kept his eyes downfield and delivered a strike to Cobb.

Cobb then motored towards the endzone before being tackled by Jihad Ward for a 35-yard gain.

They eventually settled for a field goal, with Aaron Crosby’s 46-yard effort giving he NFC North side an early three-point lead.

On a rope. @AaronRodgers12
