Aaron Ramsey to Cardiff City Live: Updates as sensational homecoming on brink amid new striker link

We thought yesterday might have been the day but it turned out not to be. Today, though, there is renewed optimism that Cardiff City will get their man.

The Bluebirds are on the brink of a sensational reunion with Aaron Ramsey, the Wales skipper who began his career at the capital city club.

Ramsey moved to Arsenal for 10 years as a teenager before leaving on a free transfer for Juventus, where things didn't quite work out. Rangers and Nice followed, but Cardiff always remained in his heart.

He is now on the brink of an emotional return to the club who gave him his shot, with medical already done and dusted. And last night news emerged Cardiff were working on a loan deal for West Brom's Karlan Grant. Things are coming together nicely for Erol Bulut.
