Live updates as emergency services launch major response to Cardiff city centre incident

There is a large emergency services presence in Cardiffcity centre with a busy road currently blocked off. South Wales Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service have blocked off a section of Wood Street and there is a police cordon in place.

The road is closed by emergency vehicles at the Wood Street bridge over the River Taff. The police cordon is also in place over the bridge. Vehicles on either side of the cordon are being redirected.Emergency services have been contacted for comment on the nature of the incident.
