A483 closed between Newtown and Berriew after late night crash - latest updates

One of the main routes through Mid Wales towards North Wales is closed this morning after a crash late on Friday night.

The A483 is shut between Newtown and Berriew in Powys due to the incident. Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police tweeted at 11.20pm today (Friday) that the road to Montgomery in mid-Wales had been shut and that drivers should find another route. It said: "If possible, please avoid the area and find an alternative route."

Roads and traffic monitoring service Inix reported: "A483 in both directions closed due to accident from B4385 (Garthmyl) to B4386 (Abermule)."
