A470 closed after crash late on Saturday night - latest updates

The main road across the Brecon Beacons is closed this morning due to a crash late on Saturday night.

The A470 is reportedly shut in both directions because of the incident. The road traffic collision appears to have affected a stretch of the road from the A4059 (Nant-ddu) to the A40 (the Tarrell Roundabout, Brecon). Traffic is said to be moving fairly freely, given the hour.

A brief statement put out on Twitter by Traffic Wales South, the Welsh Government motorway and trunk road information service, said: "#A470 : Both directions : Nant-ddu to Storey Arms: Incident : Accident : Road closed : Diversion : #TrafficWalesAlert." Weather conditions in the area are reported to have been rainy.
