A470 30-minute delays after early morning crash

An accident is causing long delays on one of the main routes into Cardiff on Tuesday morning. It had happened on the A470 southbound at the A473 Gwaelod-Y-Garth Road Upper Boat Interchange.

Traffic monitors at 7.20am showed that congestion was back to Bridge Street Interchange. Travel time was 30 minutes at the height of the delays. Lane one (of two) was closed and emergency services were at the scene.

It was reported that traffic was back to normal for the time of day by 8.30am.
