'A real boost' - Journalist left buzzing over what was 'spotted' at Leeds

Journalist Beren Cross has given a positive update on the injury to Leeds United key man Stuart Dallas, stating it was ‘fantastic’ and a real boost to see the defender in a leg brace and crutches. 

Dallas suffered the injury during the White’s 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City back on April 30th and has been ruled out until next season with a femoral fracture and will therefore miss the most crucial part of the season as Leeds battle for their lives in the Premier League relegation race.

While the injury is bad enough to keep him out for the rest of the season and the entire offseason, Cross has given an update after seeing the man during Leeds’ defeat to Chelsea. Stating the Northern Ireland international was seen on his feet and chatting to staff.

He wrote on Leeds Live: ” To then see the Northern Ireland international on his feet, with his left in a brace and holding crutches, was fantastic and a real boost for his recovery ahead. He was spotted chatting with the medical staff on the touchline before the game”.

Dallas has been a key man for Leeds this season where they have endured injuries to several of their star men. He has started 34 games this season prior to picking up the injury against City and will be sorely missed by both the team and fans as Leeds stare down the barrel of relegation.

According to Whoscord, Dallas has averaged 2.4 tackles, which he leads the entire team overall with 90 for the season, 1.5 interceptions, 1.6 clearances and 1.4 dribbles per game while leading the team in blocks for the season with 64. He has also played well with the ball at his feet, offering 1.6 long balls per game on 79% passing accuracy.
