A Plane Carrying The Message ‘Cats Lives Matter’ Flies Over Anfield During West Ham Game

Three weeks later and it appears someone has paid for a huge banner to be flown over Anfield with a message reading 'CATS LIVES MATTER’, all while Zouma was playing for West Ham against Jurgen Klopp's side.

Footage of the plane soon emerged on social media.

An RSPCA spokesperson said of Zouma's actions: “This is a very upsetting video. It’s never acceptable to kick, hit or slap an animal, for punishment or otherwise.

“We are so grateful to people who report suspected animal suffering to us and we would like to reassure people we will always look into and, if necessary, investigate any complaints made to us about animal welfare.”

West Ham, meanwhile, said they would be “dealing with the matter internally.”
