'A complete player' - Casemiro makes exciting prediction about Kobbie Mainoo at Manchester United

Casemiro believes Kobbie Mainoo has the capacity to become a mainstay in Manchester United's midfield for 'the next 15 years' following his sharp rise this season.

The Stockport-born midfielder, who will turn 19 next month, has excelled this season, establishing himself as a key member of Erik ten Hag's squad. Saturday's 2-0 win over Everton marked his 19th appearance of the season and his 12th successive Premier League start.

Since recovering from an ankle injury in November, Mainoo has played a key role in United's quest for a top four finish, producing a series of polished performances. He has embedded himself in United's strongest midfield, producing the control and ball-playing expertise Ten Hag is so often looking for.

He has, in the main, played alongside Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro in United's engine room, and the latter has every confidence that he will enjoy a long and successful career at Old Trafford, describing him as a "complete player".

"For those of us who work with him, it's been no surprise to see him scoring and playing really well in games," Casemiro told Inside United. "I think we have a complete player in Kobbie – aggressive, looks after the ball, a player who wants the ball.

"I would say that if Kobbie continues the way he's going with this mentality, continues training hard and doing things right, Manchester United have a great player for the next 15 years."

Mainoo was given his United debut in January 2023, starting the Carabao Cup quarter-final triumph over Charlton Athletic at Old Trafford. In total, he has made 22 appearances
