'A Bermuda Triangle of talent' - national media react to Manchester United's defeat at Bayern Munich

Manchester United suffered a third straight defeat in all competitions this season after kicking off their Champions League campaign with a 4-3 loss at Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

Erik ten Hag's side might feel flattered by a scoreline that suggests a close game, with Bayern able to take control after the opening half hour. They did that courtesy of a soft goal from Leroy Sane, whose weak effort rolled through a hapless Andre Onana and into the net.

Four minutes later, Serge Gnabry made it two and despite Rasmus Hojlund netting his first United goal shortly after half-time, Harry Kane restored his side's two-goal lead from the spot. A chaotic final few minutes saw Casemiro net twice, but they came either side of a clinical finish from Mathys Tel.
