This coming summer is set to be a fun one if you are a Hull City fan, as the Acun Ilicali era promises to have lots of transfer business – potentially both in and out of the MKM Stadium.

The Turkish media mogul took over from the Allam Family back in January, and he was able to provide Shota Arveladze with a few fresh faces for the final months of the 2021-22 campaign – and it was enough to keep the Tigers in the Championship.

That only scratched the surface of what Ilicali’s ownership is capable of, and there is excitement not just in East Riding of Yorkshire but also in his native Turkey, as a plethora of talent have been linked with a move to Hull already – and the transfer window has only been officially open for just over a week.

Over the years though, there have been players who have arrived at City with a lot of promise, but in the end failed to deliver.
