Government approve Boehly's Chelsea takeover

Chelsea finally received government approval this week for a £4.25billion takeover by Todd Boehly's consortium.

Attention will now quickly turn to several outstanding issues the club has had to leave in limbo while it remained under sanctions. Transfers will be high on the agenda as the Blues enter the summer window, and Mirror Sport understands Boehly wants to make two marquee signings to kick off the post-Roman Abramovich era with a statement of intent.
