There looks to be a coaching shuffle on the cards at Celtic but who will Brendan Rodgers turn to for filling an important vacancy within his backroom?

Harry Kewell has been strongly linked with taking charge at J League side Yokohama F. Marinos, as he looks likely to walk the same path that Australian compatriots Ange Postecoglou have tread on before him after Kevin Muscat's departure. But that will leave Rodgers with a hole in his backroom staff that currently includes John Kennedy as assistant manager, Gavin Strachan as first-team coach, and Stevie Woods working with the goalkeepers.

Working with the Premiership champions will be a tantalising prospect for aspiring coaches and familiar faces looking to get back into the game. It could also lead to some internal promotion and there will be several who will be keen to get the shot at working with Rodgers and co. Here are six possible candidates to take Kewell's place at Celtic

It just appears like the stars have aligned on this one. The legendary club captain is awaiting his next chance in the game after being sacked by Fleetwood Town in the summer, despite a decent debut season with the Cod Army. He has aspirations of continuing his managerial journey but was briefly linked with a playing return at Spartans this season. Rodgers knows all about what Brown could bring to the group from his first spell at the club and he could give him the chance to learn more coaching skills for his future career. Could it also be a chance for Celtic to look at a potential long-term successor for Rodgers? The question has been asked of Brown whether he'd look to manage the club one day and those notions would ramp up if he returned as Kewell's replacement.
