Derby County's Lee Buchanan is set for quite the career move as he prepares to move to German side Werder Bremen.

The 21-year-old defender was part of the Rams' side which dropped out of the Championship last season. But he clearly caught the eye of Bremen and they are poised to complete a deal as they prepare for a season back in the Bundesliga after promotion last term.

A deal is expected to be wrapped up shortly as Buchanan gears up for an exciting change as he heads abroad.

With that in mind, casts an eye over five other Brits plying their trade away from these shores.

Buchanan is set to double Bremen's Brit contingent after they swooped for Scottish striker Burke last week. The 25-year-old ended an unspectacular spell with Sheffield United to finalise a move to the Bundesliga. And it is a league Burke has prior experience of, having spent a portion of time on loan at RB Leipzig in the 2016-17 campaign.

He is clearly well-travelled having also represented Spanish side Alaves earlier in his career.
