3 things we learnt about West Brom during their 0-0 draw vs Blackburn Rovers last night
Steve Bruce was confined to a 0-0 draw against Blackburn Rovers during his first game at West Brom manager at The Hawthorns.
It was the third-placed visitors who started the game on the front foot, although, they were unable to convert any early pressure into real opportunities to open the scoring.
The point for the Baggies takes them up to eighth place and three points shy of the play-off positions.

Andy Carroll looks a real threat
There appeared to be somewhat of a mixed response when the Baggies secured the signing of Andy Carroll, but he did prove to be one of the better players on the pitch last night.
His physicality and intelligence helped his side progress up the pitch, whilst he displayed some excellent touches in the final third.
Carroll enjoyed a very good spell with Reading earlier in the season and he will be hoping to replicate that within a side where expectation levels are high.
Should Carroll stay fit, then he could enjoy a very productive spell with the Baggies.
There is defensive resilience building
Matt Clarke and Semi Ajayi struggled on Wednesday during their 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, however, the pair impressed against a bright Blackburn front-line.
Ensuring that they are not leaking in goals will be vital in their hunt for promotion in what remains of this season, especially when the Baggies do possess quality in abundance going forward.
Darnell Furlong and Conor Townsend also defended resolutely, whilst they both caused a few problems when bringing the ball forward.
