3 key Celtic stars set for pre-match inspection as Brendan Rodgers weighs up crunch starting XI calls

Celtic will assess Luis Palma and Alistair Johnston after they returned late in the week from international duty with Kyogo in line for a start after his scary collision with Slobodan Rubezic.

But Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Liel Abada remain out injured. And several Motherwell players returned to training on Thursday after shaking off knocks but Paul McGinn, Pape Souare and Lennon Miller remain out. But the champions have a call to make over star man Palma and incumbent right-back Alistair Johnston. The Concacaf duo where key men for Honduras and Canada respectively but Palma missed the second leg against Mexico in the Nations League with a shoulder injury.

David Turnbull is itching for a start but it's a battle between himself, Odin Holm and Paulo Bernardo to join Matt O'Riley and Callum McGregor in the engine room. If Palma makes it then it feels a certainty he and Yang will occupy the wings with Rodgers weighing up whether Kyogo is ready to go after the Dons defender pole-axed him and sparked utter panic as the Japan star lay motionless on the turf.
