22 Kids and Counting's Sue Radford broke down in tears during Sunday's Channel 5 instalment after her daughter Tillie had to make a life-changing decision.

After weeks of coming home from school in tears, Noel confronted his daughter only to find out she’s been bullied about her disability.

After a visit to the hospital, the Radford family was faced with a life-changing decision about whether Tillie should have a leg operation.

Sue explained: "When Tillie was five, she was stood in front of me and I thought, 'There was a bone like it was sticking out'. I went straight to the doctor and the doctor went, 'Yep, that definitely doesn't look right'. There was a problem with that bone."

The cause was traced back to an infection in the 14-year-old's leg which damaged the growth plate of her femur.

During a video, Sue sat in her car crying as she gave an update on her daughter's health. The mum of 22 sobbed as she explained: "We don't know if that bone will stop growing, we just have to hope that it doesn't and that it's alright. it is an absolute nightmare."

Noel went on to explain that if they "didn't do anything about it", Tillie's bone in her leg would have just kept growing. and so when she was younger she had an operation and for nine months afterwards, she had to wear a device to keep her leg straight.

But even after it was removed, it left Tillie with scars on her leg. Four years after her surgery, Tillie shared: "My left still isn't growing and I am still lop-sided."

"We have seen a massive change in her limp," Noel noted. "There is a big difference in the two sides."

Tillie was then faced with making a life-changing decision as she was told another operation could help to lengthen her leg.
