Another worrying factor about Everton’s campaign is the number of goals they’ve managed to concede with 40 in total and Manchester City next up for their next league game who have found the back of the net 63 times this season.

One player, in particular, that hasn’t had a successful season in terms of his performances is defender Mason Holgate.

With 12 league appearances under his belt, the Englishman has earned himself an overall performance rating of 6.46/10, making him one of the lowest-rated players that have started more than one league game according to WhoScored.

In addition to his underwhelming overall performance rating, the 25-year-old’s defensive contributions haven’t been much to shout about either.

Having lost 21 aerial duels in total, the centre-back has also only managed to rack up an average of 1.2 tackles per game, lower than a significant number of other Everton players such as Fabian Delph, Donny van de Beek and Vitaliy Mykolenko who have all played fewer minutes than Holgate.
