2 players who could leave Bristol City within the next 2 weeks

Bristol City picked up their first win of the 2022/23 Championship season on Tuesday night with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Luton Town. 

The result lifts the Robins out of the bottom three ahead of their Severnside derby clash with Cardiff City on Sunday.

After a busy first few weeks of the summer, things have gone fairly quiet in terms of transfers at Ashton Gate with Antoine Semenyo’s links to the Premier League and Sol Bamba’s trial the only real news of note right now.

There are still two weeks to go before the window closes and Nigel Pearson will want to make one or two more changes to his squad before it does.

Potential incomings are likely to be at the front of supporters’ minds but there could be some departures as well.

With that in mind, here are two players that could leave City within the next two weeks…

Han-Noah Massengo

Both City owner Steve Lansdown and Pearson have made clear this summer that they are open to cashing in on Massengo as he is out of contract next summer and refusing to sign an extension.

They’ll hope that should he stay beyond the end of the window, they can convince him to agree new terms but as things stand it makes sense for the Robins to sell him should a reasonable bid be made.

Despite reported interest from the Premier League and elsewhere, Lansdown has confirmed that no offers have yet been made.

Should that change, however, we could see the young Frenchman leave Ashton Gate before the 1st of September.

Sam Bell
