1000 Guineas tips as Mammas Girl napped for Newmarket glory plus best bets for Hamilton Park

MAMMAS GIRL (3:40) can turn on the style for Richard Hannon in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket. The filly showed a blistering turn of foot to hammer the talented Fairy Cross in the Nell Gwyn here. The three-year-old rates a sure-fire improver over a mile so she can extend her yard’s excellent run.

Charlie Appleby is also thriving so I’m backing ADAYAR (2:25) in the Gordon Richards Stakes. The 2021 Epsom Derby hero can deny some classy rivals on his eagerly-anticipated seasonal return.

FIRSTMAN (1:50) can land the odds for ultra-shrewd Tony Martin in the Howden Handicap. The gelding was a superb second to Okita Soushi on his last Flat outing on the Dundalk all-weather. The six-year-old is even better on Turf so he can score after a tune-up over timber at Leopardstown.

RUNNING LION (2:25) looks very dangerous for John Gosden in the Pretty Polly Stakes. The filly stayed upwardly mobile when slamming Dancing Goddess over a mile at Kempton. The grey was strong at the finish so she can add this Listed event to her CV up two furlongs.

PROSPEROUS VOYAGE (3:00) can cruise to victory for Ralph Beckett in the Dahlia Stakes. Last year’s 1000 Guineas second ran another blinder here when fourth in the Sun Chariot in October. The four-year-old should relish stepping up to 1m 1f so she can see off a decent field on her return.

Charlie Johnston’s GAREEB (4:50) looks a value bet in the trappy Howden Handicap. The filly improved for the step up to a mile when brushing aside Mystic Pearl at Southwell. The three-year-old was value for more than the half-length verdict so she can defy a 4lb rise.

BURJ MALINKA (1:30) can hit the heights on Dreammaker Foundation Raceday at Hamilton. Adrian Nicholls’ horse didn’t get home over six furlongs when
