100-year-old wedding ring 'potentially stolen' from hospitalised gran, 90
Police have appealed to the public for information following the 'potential theft' of two rings from a hospital - they were being worn by a 90-year-old woman.
Two rings were reported missing – one like the one pictured above and another a 100-year-old gold wedding band. The rings were worn by a 90-year-old grandmother who was receiving treatment in the hospital, Greater Manchester Police said in a statement.
The potential theft happened at Tameside Hospital between December 13 and 15 December, 2024.
"The rings have great sentimental value to the family and they would appreciate if anyone has seen them or knows of their whereabouts," said the GMP statement.
