10 people cops want to find after protests in Bolton

Ten more CCTV images have been released by police investigating disorder across Greater Manchester over the past two weeks. Violent scenes have erupted across the country in the wake of the devastating Southport knife attacks.

Demonstrations have turned ugly in a number of towns and cities across the country. In Bolton, disorder broke out on Sunday (August 4) as protesters and counter-protesters descended on the town centre.

Fourteen arrests were made in connection with the violence and the first offenders have faced court in the days since. But officers are continuing to investigate the disorder with the hope of securing further prosecutions.

Tonight (August 8), Greater Manchester Police has released nine CCTV images of people they wish to speak to in connection with the incident in Bolton. Anyone who recognises the people pictured is urged to contact the force as soon as possible.

A GMP spokesperson said: "We are investigating an outbreak of disorder which took place in Bolton town centre on Sunday, August 4 2024, and are seeking to identify the following persons as part of our investigation. If you recognise the people pictured, please get in touch with police through the MIPP portal Public Portal (mipp.police.uk).
