A bidding war took place between CSK and Rajasthan Royals to grab Chahar with Chennai emerging successful in buying back Chahar for Rs 14 crore, making him the second most expensive buy of the auction.
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians hogged the limelight at the two-day long mega auction, spending the most for a player when they bought back Ishan Kishan for a whopping Rs 15.25 crore. Young wicket-keeper batter Inshan's price tag was the second highest ever for an Indian at an auction after Yuvraj Singh's Rs 16 crore.
