Drivers heading towards Manchester on the M6 are facing long delays this morning following a crash in the early hours. Three lanes of the motorway are currently closed northbound in Cheshire, between junctions 17 for Sandbach and 18 for Holmes Chapel and Middlewich.

Part of the A483 Carmarthen Road has been closed following a road traffic collision. The incident happened during the early hours of Friday on the outskirts of Swansea. A section of Carmarthen Road was shut in both directions, from Pentre-Gethin Road to Gendros Crescent. The incident was reported just before 4 o'clock this morning.
