Heavy traffic on A4232 after lorry hits central reservation - live updates

A crash involving a lorry has partially closed a major road in Cardiff. One lane of the A4232 is closed in both directions after the accident between Culverhouse Cross and M4 J33, which saw the lorry hit the central reservation on the road.

There is queuing traffic due to the accident, with those travelling in the area told to expect delays. In a tweet, Traffic Wales said: "Collision travelling in both directions on the A4232 between Culverhouse Cross and M4 J33 Capel Llanilltern. Lane two in both directions currently blocked. Expect delays if you're travelling in the area."

The latest post from traffic monitoring system Inrix reads: "One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident on A4232 in both directions between A48 Cowbridge Road (Culver House Cross, Cardiff) and M4 J33 / A4232 (Cardiff West And Services, Capel Llanilltern). Lane two (of two) is closed in both directions due to a lorry hitting the central reservation."
