A busy road between the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff was partially blocked this afternoon following a multi-vehicle accident. According to traffic monitoring service Inrix, the A4055 southbound was partially blocked with queuing traffic from the A4232 to A4160 Penarth Road near the Barons Court traffic lights.

A group of parents and an NHS GP are warning that the NHS faces a ‘health emergency’ as the number of children being hospitalised in Manchester for respiratory conditions has nearly doubled in the last two years. New figures obtained by the campaign group 'Mums for Lungs' show that the number of paediatric respiratory admissions in England's largest hospital trust, based in Manchester, has increased from 684 in 2021 to 1,345 in 2023 - an increase of 97 per cent, the latest figures that are available.
Part of the A470 is closed due to a 'police incident'. The southbound carriageway is closed while the incident is ongoing. There are long queues from Coryton to Nantgarw. According to traffic monitoring system Inrix, the incident started at around 8am. It was initially reported that the road was closed in both directions.
