The selectors' decision to include the likes of Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana in place of Siraj, especially when Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out due to an injury, baffled many. However, explaining the selection committee's stance over Siraj's case, India captain Rohit Sharma highlighted the pacer's 'infectiveness' with the old ball as a big factor behind the call. Siraj has now responded to Rohit's claim, debunking the suggestions by the skipper.

India Star, Ignored In T20Is, Challenged To 'Shake Everyone', Replace Sanju Samson In Team

India have been in incredible form in T20I cricket over the past year. "Don't Have To Send Message, It Automatically Gets Delivered": Shreyas Iyer Tears Into Critics

Labelled 'silent hero' of India's ICC Champions Trophy triumph, Shreyas Iyer was crucial to India's success in Dubai. Despite there being a debate over his place in the team, with certain actions by the management suggesting that he wasn't a certainty at the No. 4 spot heading into the Champions Trophy, Iyer let his bat do the talking and contributed heavily towards the team's success. New Zealand Prime Minister's 'Champions Trophy 2025' Remark Leaves PM Narendra Modi Amused - Video

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was left amused by his New Zealand counterpart Christopher Luxon's hilarious comment on the Champions Trophy 2025 final during their meeting on Monday. During his address, Luxon said that he deliberately avoided to talk about cricket and the Champions Trophy final in order to prevent a "diplomatic incident". India defeated New Zealand in the summit clash to claim the Champions Trophy 2025 title in Dubai. Luxon also mentioned the 3-0 Test series win for New Zealand in India last year that ultimately knocked the Rohit Sharma-led side out of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final race.
