Motobox Kremer Racing ready to continue strong 2021 EWC form into 2022 season

Independent team Motobox Kremer Racing is getting ready to continue its strong 2021 form when the 2022 FIM Endurance World Championship begins with the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans this weekend 14-17 April. After placing eighth in the FIM Endurance World Championship Teams’ ranking in 2021, the German squad, co-operated by Manfred Kremer and Georg Haas, is aiming to build on that performance with Geoffroy Dehaye, Stefan Ströhlein and Lukas Walchhütter riding its Yamaha R1 in the headlining Formula EWC category. Six months since the 2021 FIM Endurance World Championship finale was decided by 0.070 seconds, the ultimate test of rider and machine is back on track at Le Mans next week (14-17 April) for the 45th 24 Heures Motos. The opening event of the 2022 EWC season is one of three day and night races on the calendar along with the returning 24H SPA EWC Motos at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and the centenary edition of the Bol d’Or at Circuit Paul Ricard in France.

Masson expects early Kawasaki gains in EWC

Etienne Masson, a new addition to the Webike SRC Kawasaki France line-up for this year, is expecting to hit the ground running when the 2022 FIM Endurance World Championship kicks-off at Le Mans in France next week (14-17 April). Masson is partnering Randy de Puniet and Florian Marino in Gilles Stafler’s team and has high hopes for the Kawasaki ZX10RR, which comes complete with new electronics.

Krzemien called up as recovering Wojcik EWC rider Krummenacher’s deputy

Kamil Krzemień is a last-minute replacement for the recovering Randy Krummenacher, the Polish rider returning to Wójcik Racing Team for the FIM Endurance World Championship opener at Le Mans next week. The rider change follows Krummenacher’s withdrawal from the 24 Heures Motos due to a recent COVID-19 infection. Ad/> Krzemień was a podium finisher as part of the Wójcik Racing Team line-up in the Superstock section of the EWC during the 2018/19 season.

Davies named as Zanetti replacement for EWC opener

ERC Endurance-Ducati has named Chaz Davies as Lorenzo Zanetti’s replacement for next week’s 24 Heures Motos, round one of the 2022 FIM Endurance World Championship. The 35-year-old from Wales, a prolific World Superbike racer with 32 career wins and a former World Supersport champion, will partner David Checa, Xavi Fores and fourth rider Marc Moser in the Germany-based team at Le Mans.
