Tom Coronel will start his 17th season of FIA World Touring Car racing and his 33rd in motorsport when he contests the 2022 WTCR − FIA World Touring Car Cup using a number very popular in his native Netherlands. Since 2019, Coronel has matched his race number with the number of seasons he’s been competing behind the wheel and took #30 for his WTCR campaign that year.
Jessica Bäckman used experience gained from racing in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup and more to win the ADAC TCR Germany opener at Oschersleben yesterday (Saturday).
