With Tony Smith's departure from Hull KR sending a shock around the rugby league world, the news that assistant coach Danny McGuire has signed a three-year extension with the Robins has unfortunately gone under the radar. McGuire has been given the reins at Sewell Group Craven Park and will take charge of all first-team matters until future head coach Willie Peters arrives in the Autumn.
