"Good Things Happen...": Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya Post Tributes As Rohit Sharma Hits Century

Rohit Sharma marked his return to form with the bat as he slammed a superb century in the second ODI between India and England in Cuttack. Rohit played a swashbuckling innings of 119 in just 90 balls, as India made a chase of 305 look easy, achieving the target with more than five overs to spare. It was Rohit's first ODI century since against Afghanistan during the 2023 World Cup, ending a 487-day streak without a ton in the format. Mumbai Indians teammates Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya wrote in tribute to Rohit after his knock.

Rohit Sharma And Co Rewarded With Personalised Diamond-Studded Rings. Reason Is...

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has rewarded Rohit Sharma-led T20 World Cup-winning team with personalised diamond-studded rings. Taking a leaf out of American sports leagues such as the NBA and NFL's play books, the BCCI rewarded the players with the "Champions" rings during the Naman Awards 2025 in Mumbai last week. Last year, India defeated South Africa in Barbados to lift the T20 World Cup title, country's first major success since the 2013 Champions Trophy.

Formidable Mumbai Firm Favourites Against Haryana In Ranji Trophy Quarterfinals

Title contenders and defending champions Mumbai will have both form and pedigree on their side when they take on a spirited Haryana outfit that is seeking to prove a point in their Ranji Trophy quarterfinal starting in Kolkata from Saturday. The shifting of the match to the iconic Eden Gardens from Lahli, Haryana's home venue, has affected the travel plans of both the teams, especially the hosts since the BCCI has not officially provided them any reason for the switch.

Hardik Pandya To Become Full-Time India Captain? Report Highlights Big Twist After 'Injustice'

Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya could be back as India captain soon, according to a report. For long, Hardik was tipped to replace Rohit Sharma as captain of the Indian team in white-ball cricket, having led the team in multiple series in the veteran's absence. However, after India won the T20 World Cup last year, the BCCI appointed Surykumar Yadav as India's full-time T20I captain. In addition, Hardik was ignored as young batter Shubman Gill was elevated for the vice-captain role in ODIs. Hardik was even replaced as vice-captain by Axar Patel for the recently-concluded T20I series against England.

Abhishek Sharma Rises To This Spot In T20I Rankings After Heroics vs England

In-form India opener Abhishek Sharma leapfrogged 38 places to the second spot in the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings for batters while his teammate Tilak Verma dropped a rung to the third place on Wednesday. Abhishek produced the best innings of his fledging international career when he smashed a quick-fire 135 in the fifth and final T20 against England in Mumbai, leading India to a thumping 4-1 series win. Mumbai's Ranji Quarterfinal Against Haryana Shifted From Lahli To Eden

Defending champions Mumbai's Ranji Trophy quarterfinal against Haryana has been shifted from Lahli to Kolkata by the BCCI. All the quarterfinals will be five-day affairs, from February 8 to 12. Although no reason has been given for the change of venue, it is learnt that receding winter in the northern region could pose challenges like morning fog at Lahli and affect the proceedings. "Yes, we have received a communication from BCCI that our quarterfinal against Haryana will be played at the Eden Gardens," Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president Ajinkya Naik told PTI on Wednesday.
