Plane flies misspelled 'Fire Novell' banner at Florida State-Clemson - ESPN

Head coach Mike Norvell's seat in Tallahassee is as hot as any in college football right now, and at least one Florida State fan has opted to take to the skies to make their opinion heard on his employment.

On Saturday, ahead of the Seminoles' game against Clemson, a plane was spotted flying around Doak S. Campbell Stadium with a banner containing a message to Florida State: Fire Mike Norvell and university board of trustees chair Peter Collins.

Though, if the banner's message is taken at exact face value, Mike Norvell's job might not actually be in peril. That's because — thanks to a misspelling — the banner doesn't call for the firing of Norvell per se.

«Fire Novell,» it reads.
