Four Indian players, including senior batsman Shikhar Dhawan, have tested positive for coronavirus ahead of the home series against the West Indies, the country's cricket board said Wednesday.

No Indian featured in the all-rounder's list. India, though, did not feature in T20 Internationals in recent times. Left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein and fast bowler Jason Holder have achieved career-best rankings in bowling after helping the West Indies to a series-deciding 17-run victory in the fifth match against England in Bridgetown.
India white-ball skipper Rohit Sharma is all set to return to action, having recovered from a hamstring injury which he had suffered ahead of the South Africa tour last year. Rohit, who had missed the Test and ODI series against South Africa, will lead India in the limited-overs series against West Indies, starting February 6. India and West Indies will play three ODIs, followed by three T20Is. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Rohit said that he can't wait to get started.
With less than a week to go for the India vs West Indies ODI series which will also mark the beginning of Rohit Sharma's journey as a full-time captain in limited-overs cricket, there is still no clarity on who will take over India's Test mantle after Virat Kohli decided to step down as skipper last month. Sharing his thoughts on the subject, veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik said he can't comment on the reasons behind Kohli's unexpected decision to quit as Test captain but he recalled MS Dhoni “clearly saying” it is “hard” to have split captaincy in Indian cricket. "I remember MS Dhoni saying very clearly that India as a cricketing nation is very hard to have split captaincy,” Karthik told news agency ANI.

The song celebrates Rohit taking over as captain of Team India in ODIs and T20Is. Rohit's first assignment as full-time white-ball captain will be against the West Indies, who have already arrived in India to play three ODIs and three T20Is. Skipper Bavuma was dismissed by a stunning direct hit by Rahul and fans took to social media to hail the 29-year-old's effort. Receiving a full delivery from Chahar in the seventh over, Bavuma sent it to the right of mid-off and left for a single. But instead of running in a straight line, he angled his run to his left after crossing the bowler and Rahul attacked the ball well, throwing an accurate direct hit at the bowler's end.
India's Rohit Sharma will return as captain for the limited-overs series against the West Indies at home next month while seamers Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested, the country's cricket board (BCCI) said on Wednesday.
