Ravichandran Ashwin Given Warning At Non-Striker's End By Bowler - Video Goes Viral

Ravichandran Ashwin received a taste of his own medicine as spinner S Mohan Prasath warned him at the non-striker's end during the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 match between Dindigul Dragons and Nellai Royal Kings on Sunday. The incident took place on the first over of the Dragons innings as Ashwin was on striker's end and the bowler noticed that he was leaving the crease before the delivery was bowled. Prasath stopped midway into his action and warned Ashwin before taking his position back to resume his bowling. It was interesting as Ashwin had warned and even dismissed batters for leaving the crease on the non-striker's end and the video of this incident has gone viral.

Big Concern For India? Shubman Gill Misses 2nd T20I Against Sri Lanka - Here's Why

Indian cricket team star batter Shubman Gill missed the second T20I encounter against Sri Lanka due to neck spasm on Sunday. Sanju Samson was included in the playing XI in place of Gill and Suryakumar confirmed the reason behind Gill's absence at the toss. "Gill misses out as he woke up with a neck spasm, Samson comes in," Indian cricket team  captain Suryakumar Yadav said. Sanju failed to take advantage of the chance as he was dismissed for a duck by spinner Maheesh Theekshana.

India Clinch T20I Series Against Sri Lanka Riding On Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav's Pyrotechnics

Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Suryakumar Yadav displayed their wide array of strokes as India took an unassailable 2-0 lead, winning the rain-curtailed second T20I by seven wickets with nine balls to spare in Pallekele on Sunday. Head coach Gautam Gambhir and new captain Suryakumar couldn't have asked for a better start to their new roles as the Indian team played like true T20 World Champions outplaying Sri Lanka in all departments. Despite Shubman Gill's absence due to neck spasm and another failure in the format for the ever-hyped Sanju Samson (0), Jaiswal (30 off 15 balls) and Suryakumar (26 off 12 balls) didn't even break a sweat in their short but tricky chase of 78 in 8 overs after another fine effort by bowlers had restricted Sri Lanka to 161 for 9.

Chamari Athapaththu, Harshitha Samarawickrama Sparkle As Sri Lanka Beat India By 8 Wickets To Lift Women's Asia Cup

Captain Chamari Athapaththu's turbo-charged fifty combined well with the steadfast half-century of Harshitha Samarawickrama as a resilient Sri Lanka carved an eight-wicket win over defending champions India to bag their maiden women's Asia Cup title in Dambulla on Sunday. This is the second time in nine Asia Cup editions (WODI and WT20I) across formats that India have lost a final. The last time India lost the final was against Bangladesh in 2018 in Kuala Lumpur. Tasked with hunting down a strong target of 166, Sri Lanka served well by Athapaththu (61b, 43b, 9x4, 2x6) and Samarawickrama (69 not out, 51b, 6x4, 2x6) and finished at 167 for two in 18.4 overs.
