Zara McDermott becomes fifth Strictly Come Dancing contestant to leave the show

After weeks of strong performances from the Strictly Come Dancing couples, it's time we say goodbye to another contestant. Following a tense dance-off against Adam Thomas, Zara McDermott was eliminated from this year's Strictly competition.

Adam, performed the American Smooth with partner Luba Mushtuk while Zara and Graziano Di Prima performed their Charleston to Jeepers Creepers in a struggle to impress the judges.

But when all was said and done, the judges decided to save Adam and Luba, with Craig Revel Horwood highlighting that the pair "nailed" their routine.

Despite this, some of the judges highlighted that both couples danced remarkably well.
