WWE considered asking Tony Khan if a member of his AEW roster would appear on Monday Night Raw this week. Reports have claimed that Triple H considering asking AEW if Billy Gunn could be part of the DX 25-year celebration that main evented this week’s show.

This would have been pretty significant, considering it’d have been the first time that a signed AEW roster member appeared on a WWE show.

This week’s episode of Raw was not only the show’s “season premiere”, but also was used to celebrate the 25-year run of DX. Appearing on the show was Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman (X-Pac) and Road Dogg, with Billy Gunn being notable for his absence.

However, no one expected Gunn to show up, with the 58-year-old being signed to AEW as a regular on-screen performer, currently partnering with The Acclaimed. Despite this, Fightful Select is reporting that WWE was considering asking Tony Khan if Gunn could appear on the show. WWE at least threw around the idea of trying to get Billy Gunn for tonight’s Raw DX celebration.
