Wolverhampton Wanderers will be ‘having conversations’ with Benfica over striker Goncalo Ramos, according to journalist Jacque Talbot. The Midlands outfit are in the market for attacking reinforcements after Fabio Silva joined Anderlecht on loan, and the talented 21-year-old has emerged as a potential target.
Earlier in the summer, Portuguese reporter Bruno Andrade previously claimed that Wolves were in talks with Benfica for Ramos following Silva’s temporary switch away from Molineux.
But Bruno Lage’s charges could now face stiff competition for the youngster’s signature, with both Newcastle United and Southampton also listed as potential suitors.
The Telegraph claim that the Saints are the latest side to join the race for Ramos’ services, stating that his current employers will demand around £25 million in order to sanction his sale.
