Manchester City are Champions of Europe, and in beating Inter Milan to win the Champions League they have now unlocked two opportunities to become Champions of the World.

City completed an incredible Treble by adding the Champions League to the Premier League and FA Cup, cementing their position as the best club side in Europe.

Many see City as the best in the world, and they will get the chance to prove that at the end of the year having qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Before that, City will face Europa League winners Sevilla in Athens on August 16 in the UEFA Super Cup, competing in that fixture for the first time.

The United States will host the expanded 32-team Club World Cup in 2025, governing body FIFA announced Friday. "The Club World Cup 2025 will be the pinnacle of elite professional men's club football, and with the required infrastructure in place together with a massive local interest, the United States is the ideal host to kick off this new, global tournament," said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.  The dates, host cities and match schedule for the tournament will be established at a later date, FIFA said. The US will also host the 2026 World Cup along with Canada and Mexico.

Pakistan Hockey Federation Bans Five Formers Players For Trying To Make Separate Federation
The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday imposed a life ban on five former Olympians for trying to form a parallel body. PHF President Tariq Bugti said that former Olympian and internationals Nasir Ali, Khalid Bashir, Saleem Nazim, Abbas Ali and Haider Ali had been banned for life. "The PHF found them guilty of trying to run a parallel federation, stealing PHF records and using funds from a PHF account without approval," Bugti said. Since last year after Brigadier (retd) Sajjad Khokar was forced to resign as PHF chief after being in power for more than two terms, a power-struggle is going on between two groups to take control of the PHF.
