Why Ben Davies DIDN'T consider Rangers summer exit as he vows to run through walls for Michael Beale
Defiant Ben Davies was adamant he was going nowhere over the summer. And he hopes Michael Beale will be hanging around too as he vowed to do all he can to protect the beleaguered Rangers boss’ job.
The former Preston and Liverpool defender was tipped to join the Ibrox exodus over the summer as he was linked with a return south.
A late move to Stoke was rumoured as Gers even eyed up a move to replace him with team-mate John Souttar’s brother Harry. But Davies insists he’d no plans to quit the club after 12 turbulent months.
Asked if he’d considered moving back to England, the 28-year-old said: “I don’t think so. I’m not sure what was said about me but as far as I was concerned I was a Rangers player and I wasn’t looking to move.
