Who is Charlie Savage? The son of Robbie training with Manchester United's first team

Manchester United's young midfielder Charlie Savage will hope to impress Erik ten Hag having been called up to the first team for pre season.

Savage made headlines last season when his father Robbie Savage reacted to his first senior goal while playing on loan for Forest Green Rovers.

It was his only goal but 15 appearances in League One will serve his career well - with United hopeful of the 20-year-old's long-term potential.

He has represented Wales at youth level and earned his first U21 call-up in 2022, albeit he made headlines earlier this year for not accepting a call-up to the U21 squad in order to remain with Forest Green.
