The Kansas Jayhawks have upset the formerly undefeated Oklahoma Sooners. It looked like the Sooners were well on their way to another win, as they led the Jayhawks 21-17 going into halftime.

A Jalil Farooq fumble late in the third quarter, however, gave Kansas good field position, and the Jayhawks immediately capitalized with a 38-yard touchdown run by Jason Bean.

The two teams traded scores until Devin Neal's late fourth-quarter rush put Kansas up 38-33. Oklahoma drove into Kansas territory in response, but two incompletions put an end to their comeback attempt.

It's the first time Kansas has beaten Oklahoma since October 4, 1997. Here's a quick sense of how different the world was back then.

Sri Lanka all-rounder Angelo Mathews on Monday called Bangladesh's decision to dismiss him via 'time out' as "disgraceful" and said it had left him in "complete shock". The 'Spirit of Cricket' question came into the picture once again as rare incident happened at the Cricket World Cup. In a match in Delhi, Sri Lanka star Angelo Mathews became the first player in international cricket to be timed out. In the Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka Cricket World Cup match, Angelo Mathews was left stunned as rival skipper Shakib Al Hasan appealed for 'timed out'. It all started when Angelo Mathews came in to bat in the 25th over, being bowled by Shakib Al Hasan. The former Sri Lanka captain soon realised that the strap of his helmet was not alright.
Sri Lanka all-rounder Angelo Mathews was dismissed in a bizarre manner, having failed to make it to the pitch on time in the World Cup match against Bangladesh. According to the timed-out rule, the batter has to make the pitch within 3 minutes (2 minutes in World Cups) of the dismissal of the previous player and be ready to face the next delivery. While Mathews had entered the ground, he encountered some issues with his helmet, which required him to call for a replacement. In the process, the maximum allowed time had already passed.
