The eyes of the horsing world are set to be on Ayr this weekend as the Scottish Grand National takes centre stage. Trainer Lucinda Russell picked up one of the biggest prizes in horse racing last weekend when Corach Rambler romped home to win the Grand National at Aintree.
The Scottish-based trainer won the Scottish version of the race in 2021 so will be hoping for a dream two weeks for her yard.
Your Own Story is expected to be her best bet in the race, however 2021 winner Mighty Thunder could cause an upset in the field.
Corach Rambler could still be entered into the race however it is unlikely Russell will ask the horse to go again after its National triumph.
