Kent’s Taylor Lawrence helped Great Britain win a first four-man bobsleigh medal at the World Championships for 84 years. Lawrence, from Westgate-on-Sea, took silver on Sunday in St Moritz, Switzerland, alongside pilot Brad Hall, Greg Cackett and Arran Gulliver.

Germany's Olympic champion Francesco Friedrich claimed his fifth consecutive title in 4min19.61sec while the British sled finished level with Latvia.

It’s the second record-breaking result for the team, who became the first Great British group to win a European Championship gold medal last month, in a matter of weeks.
