Manchester United suffered a 2-1 defeat against West Ham on Sunday. United were looking to get back on track after drawing 1-1 with Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday evening and made a brilliant start to the game against West Ham.

Erik ten Hag's side were utterly dominant in the first half, creating plenty of opportunities, and Diogo Dalot made the miss of the season when taking the ball beyond Lukasz Fabianski.

Dalot somehow failed to hit the target with the goal at his mercy and it was goalless at the break. The home side improved when play resumed for the second half and took the lead in the 73rd minute but Casemiro produced an equaliser fewer than 10 minutes later with a header.

With United level in the game, they had the opportunity to push for a winner, but it was West Ham who struck next after being awarded a hugely controversial penalty.
